20a. The neoplastic tissue is firm. The neoplasia is a benign Sertoli cell tumor (a.k.a. Sertolioma).
20b. Approximately one third of Sertoli cell tumors produce estrogen.
Excess estrogen can cause bone marrow toxicity, hypothyroidism, alopecia, or squamous metaplasia of prostate acini; adenomyosis of the epididymis.
