    1. Intellectual Property Some of the genetic tests mentioned in this database are patented and are the intellectual property of the patent holder and its licensees. It is the responsibility of the user of this information to ascertain that a lab contains the proper license to conduct a genetic test in the case of valid patent being held.

    2. Accuracy
Although care has been taken to ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and reliability of the information provided in this database, WSAVA, PennGen, PennVet, and sponsors assume no responsibility. Therefore, the user of the information agrees that the information is subject to revision without notice. WSAVA and database sponsor assume no responsibility for the consequences of use of such information, nor for any infringement of third party intellectual property rights that may result from its use. In no event shall the WSAVA or its sponsors and other providers be liable for any direct, indirect, special or incidental damage resulting from, arising out of, or in connection with the use of the information. For more information on how this database is updated and organized, please go to these links: Published February 2021, Published 2013.

    3. Outsourcing & Quality Control
Not all laboratories that charge for genetic testing do the testing in-house. In some cases, the actual testing may be performed at another facility. There is no guarantee that a listing here ensures the location of the actual testing. It should be noted that there is currently no quality control system for DNA testing in veterinary medicine and thus the database cannot assess the quality of each laboratory. Similarly the database does not provide information on the clinical importance of a test and prevalence of a disease.

All persons reproducing, redistributing, or making commercial use of this information are expected to adhere to the terms and conditions asserted by the copyright holder.
